“DIY文化”到底是怎么回事呢？
We can buy nearly anything we might need by simply pushing a button when we shop online.

However, this has created new problems. For one, we are using up the world’s resources. The ocean is full of plastic, forests burn and fall, and thousands of plant and animal species are endangered. Nearly as bad is the fact that many of us have forgotten how to make, to build, to repair with our own hands. With so many resources, we no longer know how to rely on our own skill and strength to survive.

DIY
DIY, or “do-it-yourself” culture, is perhaps an answer to this. By making all kinds of things on their own, people can find value in the act of creation.

DIY is practical. Making things on your own is often cheaper than buying it in a store. And even if it’s not, it cuts down on waste, which is all the more important these days as we face environmental challenges like global warming.
