TheRecruitmentProcess
BeforeenteringQuantico,eachrecruitmustgothrougharigorousselectionprocess.Thisprocessincludesawrittenexam,physicalfitnesstest,andanin-personinterview.TheFBIislookingforcandidateswhoarephysicallyfit,haveastrongacademicbackground,andhaveadiversesetofskillstocontributetotheagency.Onceaccepted,recruitsenterintoa21-weektrainingprogram.
TheTrainingProgram
ThetrainingprogramatQuanticoconsistsofbothacademiccoursesandpracticaltraining.Recruitstakecoursesinsubjectssuchascriminallaw,behavioralanalysis,andfirearmstraining.Theyalsoparticipateinsimulatedexercisestopreparethemforreal-lifescenariostheymayencounteronthejob.Theseexercisesincluderole-playingscenarioswhererecruitsmustsolvecrimesandidentifysuspectsbasedonevidencepresentedtothem.
Inadditiontotheacademiccoursesandexercises,recruitsmustalsomaintainastrictscheduleofphysicalfitness.Theyparticipateindailyworkoutsandobstaclecoursetrainingtopreparethemforthephysicaldemandsofthejob.Recruitsmustalsomaintainahealthydietandavoiddrugsandalcoholatalltimes.
GraduationandBeyond
Uponcompletionofthetrainingprogram,recruitsgraduatefromQuanticoandareassignedtotheirfirstfieldoffice.Onceinthefield,theyreceivefurthertrainingspecifictotheneedsoftheiroffice.RecruitsarealsorequiredtocontinuetheireducationthroughouttheircareerwiththeFBItostayup-to-dateonthelatesttechnologyandtechniquesusedinlawenforcement.
ThetrainingprogramatQuanticoisnotforthefaintofheart.Itrequiresextremededication,discipline,andhardwork.However,thosewhocompletetheprogramcomeoutwiththeskillsandknowledgeneededtoprotectthecountryandmaintainlawandorder.QuanticomayjustbeaTVshow,butitgivesviewersaglimpseintotherigoroustrainingprogramthatshapestheFBI'seliteagents.
