The Legend of the Year

The Beginning of Time

In the beginning, there was nothing but chaos and darkness. Then, a powerful force known as the Creator appeared and brought order to the world. The Creator went on to create the sun, moon, and stars, and then the land, sea, and sky. Finally, the Creator created living creatures to inhabit the world. And thus, the first year was born.

The Myth of the Seasons

According to legend, the seasons were created by a great battle between two powerful gods. One god was the lord of winter, while the other was the queen of summer. The two fought tirelessly for centuries, each trying to gain the upper hand. Finally, the queen of summer emerged victorious, and thus the warm and sunny season was born. However, the lord of winter did not take kindly to his defeat. He plotted his revenge and laid siege to the queen of summer's realm. The two armies clashed for weeks on end, until finally, the lord of winter emerged victorious. And thus, the cold and dark season was born. As the years went on, the battle between the two seasons continued, with one always following the other in an endless cycle. And so, every year was marked by the changing of the seasons.

The Story of the New Year

The tradition of celebrating the New Year dates back thousands of years. It is said that the ancient Babylonians were the first civilization to do so. They would hold a massive festival, known as Akitu, to celebrate the beginning of a new year. This tradition was later adopted by the ancient Egyptians, who celebrated the New Year in honor of their god Ra. Over the centuries, the tradition of celebrating the New Year spread throughout the world. Each culture had its own unique way of celebrating, whether it be with feasts, fireworks, or other festivities. But despite the many differences between cultures, the idea of celebrating the start of a new year remains a universal tradition to this day. And so, the legend of the year continues to be passed down from generation to generation. It is a reminder of the power of creation, the endless cycle of the seasons, and the joy that comes with celebrating new beginnings.
